It’s Back! Durbanville Sauvignon Blanc 2025 Collab has dropped

Durbanville Wine Sauvignon Blanc 2025 vintage blue bottle with vines

If you love Sauvignon Blanc, then you’re going to want to get your hands on the oh so freshly released Durbanville Sauvignon Blanc 2025 Collab wine. It’s a 10-winery collaboration that’s fast becoming one of South Africa’s most exciting annual wine releases.

So what’s the big deal?

Well, this is the fourth year running that the winemakers of Durbanville have come together to create one standout Sauvignon Blanc, using only the best grapes from across the valley. Each winery adds its own magic, and this year, the final blend was put together by none other than the team at Diemersdal – no strangers to international awards for their Sauv Blanc skills.

According to Thys Louw from Diemersdal, “This might be our best vintage yet.” And winemaker Juandré Bruwer agrees: “It’s one of those rare years where everything just worked.”

Who’s part of the collab?

These legends:
Diemersdal, De Grendel, Bloemendal, D’Aria, Durbanville Hills, Groot Phesantekraal, Klein Roosboom, Maastricht, Meerendal and Nitida.

It’s a dream team of cool-climate wine producers – and it shows in the glass.

Let’s talk wine awards, shall we?

Not too shabby, hey?

What’s the 2025 vintage like?

Think tropical fruit, zesty acidity, a touch of minerality, and just enough of that classic green herbaceous character you get from this cool-climate, coastal region.

The 2025 season was spot-on: slow ripening, high natural acidity, and above-average yields with bucketloads of flavour.

Where to buy it

You can grab a bottle (or six) of the 2025 Durbanville Sauvignon Blanc for just R120 per bottle from any of the participating wineries. It’s limited, so don’t snooze on this one.

A Historic Year for Durbanville

2025 marks 200 years since the founding of the town of Durbanville. Since its official naming in honour of Sir Benjamin D’Urban back in 1825, Durbanville has grown from a sleepy agricultural settlement into one of South Africa’s premier wine destinations. Its unique terroir – from rolling hills and cool sea breezes to mineral-rich soils – makes it ideal for growing top-tier grapes, especially Sauvignon Blanc and Pinotage.
