Stellenbosch Wine Festival Returns This Winter

Stellenbosch Wine Festival 2025 Promotional dates

From 26 July to 3 August 2025, Stellenbosch is filling up the wine glasses for a week-long celebration to keep warm this winter. It’s called “Wine Town Stellenbosch” and it’s bigger and better than ever before. Expect everything from winemaker dinners to vertical tastings, happy hour specials and curated wine tours hosted across top Stellenbosch wine estates. Wine Town Stellenbosch 2025 is bringing nine days of world-class wine experiences to the Cape Winelands, culminating in the Stellenbosch Wine Festival – the main event that takes place at the historic Town Hall on 1 and 2 August.

Stellenbosch Wine Festival: Taste Over 200 Wines in One Place

The Stellenbosch Wine Festival will take place over two days. I visited last year and thoroughly enjoyed it! Not only do you get to taste some incredible wine, but there is also a fantastic harvest table and live entertainment.

This walk-around wine tasting gives you access to:

  • Over 50 top wine producers

  • More than 200 wine tastings

  • Live entertainment

  • And a sumptuous graze table featuring seasonal, local fare by renowned South African chef Bertus Basson and team.

Some of the wineries pouring at the event include Simonsig, Spier, Rust en Vrede, Kleine Zalze, Blaauwklippen, and Alto – plus newcomers like Raats Family Wines, Hidden Valley Wines, and De Meye Vineyards.
